Gus’s Dad May Have Killed an Old Guy – Psych

The Spencers are invited to have Christmas dinner with the Gusters and before long both of Gus’s parents are arrested for the murder of their neighbor and it is up to Shawn and Gus to prove who the real killer is. This is not just one of my favorite Christmas episodes but is also one of my favorite episodes of this show period. Having Phylicia Rashad and Ernie Hudson as Gus’s parents was inspired casting and gave some insight into why Gus is the way he is. The subplots with Carlton shoehorning his way into Juliet’s family Christmas was really funny too. Just an all around great hour of TV from a criminally underrated show.
