A Bunch of Has-Beens Hawking Mayonnaise

In a parody of “We Are The World” a gaggle of faded music stars sing about the virtues of that ghastly dreck Miracle Whip. Anyone think they might have slipped some valium into Susan Boyle’s Miracle Whip laden turkey sammich? She looked completely lost. And are any of those guys original Village People or are they all scabs? Continue reading A Bunch of Has-Beens Hawking Mayonnaise

Oscar Predictions & Ruminations 2: Attack of The Clones

85th-academy-awards
Well its that time of year again where anyone with competent motor skills and a high speed Internet connection decides to share their Oscar predictions with the rest of the world. And like the lovable lemming that I am, I am doing it too. I only predict the categories I care about and consider the “Biggies” which comes to 6 categories. Last year I went 4 for 6 (damn you Meryl Streep and guy from The Artist!!!) so I am looking to increase my average this go round.

The Daily Nerdgasm: The Legion of Real Life Supervillains

lrlsv
If you have ever wondered what a mash-up of Mao Tse Tung and Darkseid or Charles Manson and The Joker would look like then you may have a mental problem. You also would have something in common with graphic designer Butcher Billy who actually created a bunch of amalgamations between real life villains and some of comic’s biggest baddies.

Trailer of the Day: Mortal Kombat Legacy Season 2

mortal_kombat_legacy_2
The follow-up season to the well received Mortal Kombat Legacy is finally here and it looks better than the first season. As much as I like MK Legacy season one but it felt a bit too “real world” to me. The trailer for the second season looks to be getting back to the property’s more fantastical “Kung-Fu Theater” roots and I couldn’t be happier. And it’s got Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa reprising his role as Shang Tsung!!

This Guy’s In Love With Inflatable Animals

inflatbales1
I have watched this video several times now and I still cannot wrap my head around how a guy (from an episode of TLC’s My Strange Addiction) who claims to be in love with a harem of inflatable animals  is allowed to walk the streets. If ever someone needed to be forcibly remanded to a loony bin it is this guy.

Uncle Ruckus The Movie

ruckus1
I am a huge fan of The Boondocks cartoon that airs on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim about every 15 years (where the heck is the new season, guys?) and I have always had a sneaking suspicion that creator Aaron McGruder would try and get his characters into a feature length film but I never thought that the first character to make the jump would be the self-hating racist Uncle Ruckus. And I definitely didn’t think it would be in a live action movie. McGruder has a Kickstarter in place to try and get funding for the film and has a sort of trailer featuring Gary Anthony Williams (who voices Ruckus on the TV show) in full Uncle Ruckus regalia. Be warned though…if you are easily offended then this is not the stuff for you.
