Ya Gotta Love Bizarro

This animated short follows a day in the life of Superman’s opposite number Bizarro and it is great. My favorite line is when Bizarro is confronted by Lois Lane and attempts to deflect suspicion from his secret identity thusly: “Bizarro? Me not Bizarro. Me mild-mannered reporter named Not Bizarro”

I Think A College Educated Person Would Have Just Gotten Off The Plane
This chick had to learn the hard way that there is no winning against the airlines no matter what the situation may be. I do wonder who that portly fella was that came in to help security get the woman off the plane. he couldn’t possibly be an air marshal could he? I would hope that there would be at least some type of fitness requirement for that gig otherwise I am going to be a lot less confident in how protected I am the next time I fly. And those security guards should have tazed the person filming this … Continue reading I Think A College Educated Person Would Have Just Gotten Off The Plane

Rule 63 Cosplay of the Week: Doctor Doom

“One day all who live will serve me. But they will serve through fear, because the boot or their conqueror has stamped their faces in the dirt … crushed their frail spirits. They will cringe at my approach, and bow in my presence. And they will do it in fear of their very lives. And I will be pleased. Thus, there will be a planet at peace. For only the will of one man need be fulfilled. How elemental. How pure. If only they could see. The order that men truly seek would at last be theirs. This I shall bestow upon them … for I am Doom.”
That quote when delivered by Victor Von Doom comes off as the ominous proclamations of a megalomaniac but if those words were spoken by the young lady that is the subject of this week’s bit of Rule 63 cosplay I would wager that more than a few people would gladly bend the knee and vow allegiance to Doom.

Thank God It’s Wednesday!

This was a good week for me as I found myself liking pretty much everything on my pull list and the selections for this post run the gamut from a day in a dog’s life to a new book from an industry heavyweight to the return of the World’s Finest team to a coda for one of the worst miniseries ever that is actually pretty enjoyable.
The Daily Nerdgasm: Mass Murder of Steel
While I had no problems with the massive amounts of destruction that resulted from the fighting in the MAN OF STEEL movie but I know some people were quite bothered by it. Well artist Kyle Baker (WHY I HATE SATURN) was bothered enough that he created a game about it called MASS MURDER OF STEEL. And its pretty damn fun. Check it out.
