Could We Be Getting A Black Doctor Who?

who-who
Matt Smith has announced that he will be leaving DOCTOR WHO at the end of the year and it has been announced that a new Doctor has already been cast (supposedly since January) but the new actor won’t be announced until later this year. I am wondering if the person picked for the gig is the person who was considered the runner-up to Matt Smith for the role after David Tennant’s exit. Who is this person you ask? Keep clicking and I’ll tell ya.

It’s A Nice Day For A Red Wedding

redwedding
Even knowing what was going to happen didn’t prepare me for what I watched in Episode 09 of GAME OF THRONES. The Red Wedding finally took place and House Stark took yet another massive loss that was right up there with Ned getting his body separated from his head. And what happened to Talisa was just brutal. They even did poor Grey Wind dirty!!!

My 5 Unpopular Lost Opinions

LOST was a great show and I loved it. But there were some things about the show that served to temper my love at times and since I recently watched a ton of episodes in a sort of recap marathon, those issues all came to the forefront again. So with that in mind I decided to share my 5 unpopular LOST opinions with the Internet. Take a gander and let me know if you disagree with my opinions.

Tywin Lannister Knows Best

My children. You've disgraced the Lannister name for far too long
My children. You’ve disgraced the Lannister name for far too long

There are stern fathers and then there are cold, authoritarian, self-esteem crushing fathers like one Lord Tywin Lannister from GAME OF THRONES. The patriarch of the Lannister clan is the anti-Cliff Huxtable. He rarely has a kind word for any of his kids and on the off chance that he does compliment them it is usually immediately followed by him cutting them down especially poor Tyrion who he routinely refers to as a “stump”. So in honor of the Westeros Father of the Year I put together a video of all of Tywin’s interactions with his 3 children so you too can marvel at the world class acting of Charles Dance in the role that I don’t think anyone could possibly play better..

The 3 Game of Thrones Character That I Wish Had Already Shown Up On The TV Show

game-of-thrones
I am a huge GAME OF THRONES fan and this current season is shaping up to be my favorite especially if things occur before the end of the season that I expect to occur. However, my love of the show hasn’t stopped me from wondering why certain characters from the books have not appeared on the show yet. I get that George R.R. Martin’s books are massive and filled with legions of characters so the TV show has been creative in merging characters or eliminating characters entirely and giving their storylines to others (its looking like Willas Tyrell’s place will be taken by his brother Loras). That being said I feel that there are three characters we should have met already on the show just because they are impact players who need (and deserve) to be fleshed out a bit more before being plunged into the middle of already established characters and stories. So click onward brave soldiers and be prepared for spoilers aplenty.

Casting A Female Doctor Who

I recently watched a video of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER/BATTLESTAR GALACTICA/TORCHWOOD writer Jane Espenson where she discussed the women of DOCTOR WHO and the conversation turned to the subject of a female Doctor (with Espenson suggesting that ANGEL alum Amy Ackerson would be a perfect casting choice) and it inspired me to do my own bit of wishful casting. So click onward to see my Top 5 choices of who I think would make pretty cool lady Doctors.
