5. Barb Coard (Margot Kidder) – BLACK CHRISTMAS (1974)

Barb was a boozy, chain-smoking, acerbic dame who also happened to look like the oldest living sorority sister in Canada. Played by Margot Kidder with a combination of world-weariness and effortless edge, Barb was the standout character in the original BLACK CHRISTMAS and she also had the best lines in the movie too. So it was pretty messed up that Barb’s death was so lame…getting stabbed to death with a drug store tchotchke was not a fitting death for the character at all.
