2. Helen Shivers (Sarah Michelle Gellar) – I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER

C’mon it’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer! No one wanted to see Buffy get wacked by the Gorton’s Fisherman; the collective audience instead wanted her to kick him in the head a few times then stake him all the while making funny quips. Alas, SMG was not playing Buffy but instead doomed small town homecoming queen Helen Shivers. Like my number one pick on this list, Helen gave her eventual killer quite the chase before succumbing. Another thing that made Helen so endearing was that she was neither bitchy nor ballsy so you didn’t hate her or admire her. Instead you felt kind of bad for Helen because she was the former popular girl stuck in her dead end hometown working for her bitchy sister. So watching her valiantly fight to survive after witnessing not only her boyfriend but her sister get killed in front of her made you root for her to survive even more. And the fact that she came so close to getting away before getting the business end of a fishhook just added to the sadness of her death.
