The fine folks at Prometheus-Movie.com released an audio clip that can only be described as disturbing.

Game of Thrones Scene of the Week: Shadow Dancing
There were a lot of scenes that could have qualified for scene of the week from ‘The Ghost of Harrenhal’…Tyrion’s continued tormenting of his cousin Lancel and working to diffuse his sister’s plot (or was it a scheme?) to use wildfire against Stannis’ armies; Dany’s adventures in Qarth; Stannis and the Onion Knight’s deeply honest conversation about Melisandre; or Arya’s continuing story (which had the line of the week uttered by such a cute little girl, “Anyone can be killed”) that saw her going into a partnership of sorts with Jaqen H’ghar that bore immediate fruit while having more than a little To Catch a Predator vibe going on as far as I was concerned.
But the scene that stood out the most for me happened at the beginning of the episode.

Cover Me Monday: Stairway to Heaven
Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” is one of the greatest rock songs ever written and one of my favorite songs period. The thing about it though is my favorite version of the song is not the Zeppelin version but the Dolly Parton version…I know it’s downright blasphemous. Dolly’s “Stairway” is a stripped down version of the song that is far more melancholy and personal sounding (which has a lot to do with Dolly tinkering with not only the arrangement but with the lyrics to make it so) and that intimate vibe is what makes this version of the song for … Continue reading Cover Me Monday: Stairway to Heaven

The Top 10 Douchebag Villains from 80s Teen Movies
Do you recognize William Zabka up there? If you’re a devotee of 80’s teen movies then you do even if you don’t realize it.
The staple of the teen-centric films of the 1980s was the role of the bullying douche. These guys always seemed to be good looking or rich or with the prettiest girl or popular or sometimes all of the above. And despite being blessed with so much they all were totally horrible human beings whose only goals in life were to make the already crappy existences of the social misfits in their circle suffer even more than they already were. So let’s take a look at the 10 douchebags who made it on my list.

The Top 5 Not-Quite-As-Famous Siblings of Famous Actors

Famous families are a crap shoot. The odds are so wacky that you have a shot at either being equally major stars like Warren Beatty and Shirley MacLaine or marginally uneven but still respectable stars like David and Patricia Arquette. But then there are the other situations where one sibling goes on to superstardom while their brother/sister toils in obscurity for the most part in the same industry that the other is shining so bright. It is with that set of circumstances in mind that I give you my list of the Top Not-Quite-As-Famous Siblings of Famous Actors!

Game of Thrones Scene of the Week: Baby Mama Drama
After rutting around like pigs on his enlarged Stratego game board, Stannis and Melisandre’s love child has decided it’s time for him (or her) to make an appearance. And what an appearance it was! Stannis ordered Davod to ferry Melisandre to some caves for an untold reason which annoyed the Onion Knight to no end considering he is not the Red Woman’s biggest fan. But Davos got a lot more than he was expecting when Mel dropped trou, got into birthing position and delivered her shadow baby. This thing was really creepy too…it crawled out of her cookie full grown! I guess every party of Melisandre is magic, even her hoo-hoo.
On the one hand I am psyched at even more magic happenings popping up on the show but on the other hand, this turn of events doesn’t have me feeling too good about Renly’s future.

Cover Me Monday: Ms Jackson
Doesn’t this song make ya just want to run out and get a shaggy haircut, throw on a pair of skinny jeans and a too small ironic t-shirt, and be thoroughly nonplussed about everything? The Vines took one of my favorite rap tunes and flipped it upside down to make an entirely new musical experience. Outkast should be pleased. The Vines – Ms Jackson (Outkast Cover) Continue reading Cover Me Monday: Ms Jackson
