Merry Christmas!
Best Cosplay of the Day: Santa Doom!

Just in case you were unaware, Dr. Doom…the Fantastic Four arch-nemesis and all around awesome bad guy, once stood in for Santa Claus when jolly old St. Nick was killed in the line of duty trying to deliver gifts to Doom’s country of Latveria and the old guy’s last request was for Doom himself to finish delivering all the rest of the toys for Christmas. This was all documented in the classic WHAT THE-?! #10, “I’ll be Doom For Christmas” story
Comics are so great sometimes.
Hello! I’m Shelley Duvall…
Jebus, I love that video. And I love Shelley Duvall, too. I especially love how batshit insane she was able to make a simple “hello” sound as host of FAERIE TALE THEATRE back in the 80s. I also love that I just found out Shelley once did a Christmas album with one of the most irritatingly cloying songs I have ever heard before.
Short Shrift Theater: Treevenge

The perfect short film for the holiday season, TREEVENGE shows us what could happen if the Christmas trees ever decided to rise up and attack mankind. Yes that sounds ridiculous but this is a gory, bloody, violent hoot of a movie that I predict many will add to their holiday viewing schedules after seeing it.

This Fan-Made Marvel vs DC Movie Trailer Is Cool As Heck

The creator of this tasty bit of fanboy creativity is a fella by the name of Alex Luthor (no relation!) who has taken clips from movies, fan films, TV shows and even video games to create a trailer that actually had me completely psyched to see the full movie before I the sad realization hit me that such a film would never happen.

Next Year There Is Going To Be A Krampus Movie!

From Legendary Pictures and directed by Michael Dougherty (of TRICK ‘R TREAT fame!), KRAMPUS will be arriving in theaters in 2015. So like the real Krampus this movie is all about ruining Christmas because how do you drop hints about this film so close to Christmas 2014 knowing that it won’t come out till the next year? That is mean.

Short Shrift Theater: Secret Santa

This is a very fitting short film for this time of year from Amalgam Studios and it manages to pack a major wallop into a barely 3 minute running time.
