The Worst Looking New Fall TV Shows

Following in the footsteps of my Best Looking New Fall TV Shows post I felt it necessary to address the flip side. I was pretty spot on with some of my choices from last years post (I saw the horrible writing on the wall with MULANEY) and completely wrong on one in particular (alas poor SELFIE, we hardly knew ye). So sit back, relax and let me provide a PSA to any unsuspecting TV viewers to stay far away from the shows under the cut.

The Best Looking New Fall TV Shows

I did this last year and figured it was something worth doing annually just because I am a TV aficionado and I like to come back after a season is over to see if my first impressions turned out to be correct (I was all over the place with last year’s picks). So strap in and take a gander at what I think are the best looking shows the big broadcast networks plan on giving us next season.

The Many Looks Of The Joker In Live-Action Movies & TV

So SUICIDE SQUAD director David Ayer dropped an official image of Jared Leto’s Joker and it is causing quite the stir online due to it’s non-conventional design aesthetic. This uproar got me to thinking about the different looks of live-action Jokers from the past.

My 5 Unpopular Buffy The Vampire Slayer Opinions

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER the TV series premiered 18 years ago this month on the now defunct WB Network. It is hard to believe that it has been almost 20 years since this show debuted and ever harder to believe that its been 12 years since the show ended. Well with the shows anniversary in mind I decided to put together a few of my unpopular opinions about this show that I loved to pieces.

Oscar Predictions & Ruminations

I have my predictions on deck for this year’s night of Hollywood self-aggrandizement even though this year’s event doesn’t really have as much joie de vivre to it as recent years have had. I mean there are very few nominations that really are buzz worthy but even if this is a downer of an award year this is still the big kahuna of them all.

Disney’s Gargoyles Turned 20 Years Old This Month

This past week was the 20th anniversary of the premiere episode of one of the greatest cartoons to ever be made…GARGOYLES! The premise is wacky (a bunch of gargoyles are cursed to turn to stone and are awakened in modern day New York where they fight the good fight against evil) but the show was just pure perfection in its execution. So sit back, pour yourself a flagon of mead and join me in celebrating the awesomeness of this wonderful show with a list of my 5 favorite episodes from the series.

The Top 5 Douchebag Heroes from 80s Teen Movies

I did a post a while ago listing The Top 10 Douchebag Villains from 80s Teen Movies and as I was looking back on that list I came to the realization that a lot of times the villains were pretty justified in their awful behavior based on the supposed “hero” of the movies they were featured in. Some of those 80s teen movie heroes were absolutely terrible people who deserved to have their girlfriends stolen, hearts broken or be smacked around a bit. So with that in mind I put together a list of the Top 5 Douchebag Heroes from 80s Teen Movies.

Big Hero 6 Was A Success…Which Marvel Properties Should Disney Make Next?

With the success of the surprisingly awesome BIG HERO 6 I got to thinking about what other Marvel Comics properties are ripe for the animation side of Disney to snap up and make into an animated feature.

Where Is The Cast of A Nightmare On Elm Street Now?

This month is the 30th anniversary of the release of the horror classic A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and I got to wondering where has life taken the actors from that seminal entry in the annals of horror? Well aside from a certain someone who went on to become one of the biggest movie stars in the world that is. That Lynn Shay is all the rage.

Wishful Casting The Supergirl TV Show

Having been given a full series commitment from CBS, the new SUPERGIRL TV show is now moving onto the casting stage with the announcements of the primary cast members that will be featured on the show. Since this is coming from the same folks that have given us the wonderful ARROW and FLASH shows over on The CW, I am very optimistic about the quality of this series even if I am a bit confused about why it is going to air on CBS instead of The CW. So taking the character casting sheets that have been released I have decided to do my own bit of wishful casting for the show using only veterans of shows that aired on The CW. Because if there is one thing they love at The CW/CBS it’s recycling actors.

The Best Horror Movie Franchises Ranked By Me

Earlier this week I saw that there was a list ranking the horror movie franchises on Gawker and thought it would be a good idea to do here. My rules however are a bit different than what the folks at Gawker used. For my list the rules are as follows:

1. To qualify as a franchise there must be at least 3 movies released.
2. Remakes of movies can be counted as part of the franchise.
3. “VS” movies (like Aliens vs Predators and Freddy vs Jason) are not counted.
4. Must be horror flicks. Duh.

So on to my list.
