R Kelly is Bringing Ratchet Back

Oh shit!
Robert “Golden Showers For All The Children!” Kelly and IFC are re-teaming to bring an unsuspecting world the continuation of Kelly’s unintentionally hilarious but still janky ass “hip hopera”, Trapped in the Closet.
Oh shit!
The first new chapter won’t be ready until Friday, November 23rd @ 9/8c but they were kind enough to put together a quick recap video of all the hoodrat shenanigans that made up the first 22 installments (which can be watched in all of their glory HERE).
Oh shit!

The Daily Nerdgasm: Dexter Morgan’s Laboratory

Why has it taken so long for somebody to do a mashup of everyone’s favorite serial killer and my own personal favorite boy genius? The fine folks over at Screenjunkies realized the vacuum in pop culture that this was and filled it by creating this amalgamation of Showtime’s Dexter and Cartoon Network’s Dexter’s Laboratory complete with a Deb/Dee Dee hybrid of annoyance.

Who Will Be The First To Die In Season 3 of The Walking Dead?

The Walking Dead returns for it’s third season on Sunday and with the coming of the new season it leads fans like me to start guestimating which of our happy band of survivors will be the first to become zombie food. I have narrowed my choices down to a top 5.

The First 5 minutes of American Horror Story: Asylum

I cannot wait for October 17th! As uneven as the first season of American Horror Story was, it was also one of the most satisfyingly creepy shows to ever appear on commercial television. And Jessica Lange was all sorts of amazing as the wacked out neighbor from hell so I am really curious to see what she does with the role of a nun from…well also from hell. So click the image to see the video and enjoy bad things happening to the lead singer of Maroon 5. Continue reading The First 5 minutes of American Horror Story: Asylum

The Daily Nerdgasm: Inspector Spacetime Ep.1

If you are a fan of the genius NBC comedy COMMUNITY then you are well aware of the time traveling Inspector Spacetime. if you are not a COMMUNITY  fan (and if this is the case I cast all sorts of aspersions in your general direction) then let me break down Inspector Spacetime for ya. On COMMUNITY, two of the characters, Troy and Abed, are gigantic geeks with a love of all things sci-fi. Chief among their sci-fi fan geekery is the longrunning British sci-fi show Inspector Spacetimie, about a long lived alien who travels around through space and time in a red telephone booth (named the D.A.R.S.I.T.) with his human associates.  Sound familiar? Whoever could Inspector Spacetime be based on?
Well, the metafictional character has leaped from the COMMUNITY universe to the Interwebs with a live action webisode that is more fun than I expected it to be. Check it out after the cut.

Whatever Happened To…The Kids From Stephen King’s It?

One of my favorite horror movies (based on the best book Stephen King has ever written in my humble opinion) is the made for TV mini-series IT. While the standout of the movie is the great performance of Tim Curry as Pennywise the evil clown that plagues the town of Derry, Maine, the other big selling point of the film is the portion that is set in the characters past. In this half of the film a group of outcast kids do battle with Pennywise and the kid actors all delivered amazing performances. So it got me to thinking…what the hell have those kids been up to since they all starred in this movie?

True Blood Season Five: Sunset

OK, so we are in the penultimate episode of the season with a multitude of storylines and characters that need to be put in place for the climax of all the doings so far yet this episode only runs 52 minutes. What’s up with that? It’s not like there wasn’t a shitload of stuff that could have been squeezed into that extra 8 minutes especially after the show wasted time on the Herveaux family dynamic for some insane reason. Alan Ball is worse at time management than Andy Reid.

Trailer of The Day: Doctor Who Series 7

Doctor Who returns this fall (with new episodes airing on BBC America on the same day they air in the UK on BBC proper) and I can’t wait.
And the possibility of a dead Amy Pond just makes me want this series to hurry up and start even more.

Let’s Take A Moment To Appreciate The Greatness Of Sherman Hemsley

George & Weezie Are Reunited In That Deluxe Apartment In The Sky

Sherman “George Jefferson” Hemsley passed away yesterday at 74 and it got me to thinking…this guy was a legit TV star. he starred in two iconic TV shows in ALL IN THE FAMILY and THE JEFFERSONS, he starred in a very successful (if underrated) sitcom in AMEN and he co-starred in one of the best cult TV shows ever DINOSAURS. Add to that his billions of guest star appearances and the guy was everything you would look for in a major TV star. So with that being said I figured I’d take a look at the 5 most awesome things from Sherman’s career.
