Trailer of the Day: Parks & Recreation – The Final Season

From Emmy Award-winning executive producers Greg Daniels (NBC’s “The Office,” “King of the Hill”) and Michael Schur (NBC’s “The Office,” “Saturday Night Live”), “Parks and Recreation” is a hilarious ensemble comedy that follows Leslie Knope (Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Amy Poehler, NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” “Baby Mama”), a mid-level bureaucrat in the Parks and Recreation Department of Pawnee, Indiana, and her tireless efforts to make her quintessentially American town just a little bit more fun. – Source

Wishful Casting The Supergirl TV Show

Having been given a full series commitment from CBS, the new SUPERGIRL TV show is now moving onto the casting stage with the announcements of the primary cast members that will be featured on the show. Since this is coming from the same folks that have given us the wonderful ARROW and FLASH shows over on The CW, I am very optimistic about the quality of this series even if I am a bit confused about why it is going to air on CBS instead of The CW. So taking the character casting sheets that have been released I have decided to do my own bit of wishful casting for the show using only veterans of shows that aired on The CW. Because if there is one thing they love at The CW/CBS it’s recycling actors.

Wishful Casting A Star Trek TV Series Reboot

With it being reported a while ago that Roberto Orci, one of the minds behind the JJ Abrams STAR TREK feature film reboot, had meetings with CBS to bring Trek back to television, it got me thinking about what type of show I’d like to see. Amidst all my thoughts about a Starfleet Academy show or a show about the shadowy Section 31 agents, I had the bright idea that maybe the new TV show should be a reboot of THE NEXT GENERATION. That way the movie and TV universes could remain separate but equal. And right after my idea of a TNG reboot I had the even brighter idea to do a wishful casting post where I cast the TNG roles myself. So click onward to boldly go where my little brain has decided to take me.

2014 Emmy Predictions & Ruminations

emmys
Monday brings us the second biggest awards show of the year when the 66th Primetime Emmys airs. And the biggest question I have is why is it airing on Monday? Isn’t Sunday the usual night for the Emmys? This stalwart awards show couldn’t possibly be running scared from the MTV Awards which is set to air on this Sunday could it? That would be a bigger flinch than SUPERMAN v BATMAN moving to a new date to avoid the third Captain America movie. Oh well, whatever the case it comes on Monday and is I have predictions and ruminations to share as the title of this post so clearly states.
